Sparkling Whine

My apologies in advance if the touch-ups and/or filter are distracting for you, when viewing this photo. Earlier in the day that this photo was taken, I dropped my curling iron, which ricocheted off of the bathroom counter and hit me square in the abdomen. Holden kept requesting that I move the sparkler a bit lower, so as to hide my scorched skin, but I was too busy focusing on not getting burned for a second time that day. So, we were left to hide the damage as best as we could.

A very happy Independence Day, to those of you in the States! May your celebration be joyful and fun but, more importantly, safe! ~C

Terrific image. 🙂 We hope the burn is not too bad, and you feel better today.

Much better, thanks! Should be all healed up by the time we take photos again. 😉 Hope y’all have had a happy Independence Day today! ~C

We all suffer for our art Camille, but you suffer so much more beautifully than the rest of us 😉 I hope the burns heal quickly and thank you for being brave enough to give us this gorgeous image x

p.s. it reminds me of going to a concert by the American guitarist Stefan Grossman. Whilst laboriously tuning up he muttered, “Twenty years I’ve suffered for my art–now it’s your turn.”

Awww, that’s very sweet of you! I can identify with Mr. Grossman’s comment — We often post photos that we don’t expect to draw a lot of attention, but we know the story behind their creation and love them just the same! Like this one, for example. ~C

Oh come on…now sparklers? Is there anything you don’t make look sexy?

    Great pose and great image!

Well, you know, we had to buy some stuff for the little kids, in addition to the high powered ordnance we used for the bigger displays… 😉 Glad you enjoyed this one! ~C

    The photo looks great.

I wish you a speedy recoveryecover from the encounter with the iron and a safe and Happy Fourth of July Holiday.

Thank you, Marc! I gave the curling iron a stern talking-to, and so I don’t expect any repeated misbehavior! 😉 ~C
