Holden and I were fortunate enough to score a couple of tickets to an extremely popular traveling installation at a local museum last month. We arrived early (of course), and so we strolled through some of the other galleries until our time to enter. Both of us were captivated by one sculpture in particular, depicting a woman in a veil, and we examined the creator’s work for quite some time. [See some similar works here.] The piece reminded us of an idea we once had, using a sheer inner curtain liner, and he quickly added it to our shot list. These two are the best of about eight that we took the following weekend.
Happy Friday, everyone! Have a wonderful weekend! ~C
Oh this is lovely, and I love the body through such gauzy material, so beautiful 🙂 x
We appreciate your lovely words, as always! It should not have taken us this long to explore the curtain option. 🙂 ~C
I almost enjoy the post titles as much as the images themselves… almost 😉 I really like that bottom image. It looks so sensual and ghostly.
The museum sounded like fun. I took a look at the similar sculptures, you linked to, and it just amazes me how intricate the detail is. It’s hard to believe they’re stone!
Thank you so much for commenting on the title! Poor Holden — He thought he had come up with an original phrase, and he was so proud of himself, and then a quick Google search revealed about a dozen bridal shops within our state with the same name! 😉 We are amazed, too, at the intricate work of the sculptors, and it was a thrill to be inspired by them! 🙂 ~C
I’d be okay with a bump in the night from this ethereal beauty.
I have been known to do a little bit of late-night bumping! 😉 ~C
