We have attempted to create through-the-window images like these before, with marginal success, and wanted to give it another try. We recently painted this room (our den), and sometimes you see a space differently when all the window treatments and pictures are temporarily removed. It gave us ideas. Holden’s initial plan was to post these with a black and white edit, but he lost too many details — the reflection of the trees, in particular, became less prominent. I’m much happier with them in color! ~C

Oh yes, these would lose so much detail in B&W. I love the relections, and also what is revealed beyond them. Really delicios photos, thank you as always x
It was an interesting experiment, and I’m glad they turned out so well! It was bitterly cold on the day we shot them, so I was very happy to have been on my side of the window. 🙂 ~C
Or even delicious, should my brain get into gear 😉 x
Beautiful!
Much appreciated! 🙂 ~C
Love the reflection in the window. Looks cold. Such a stark contrast to the lovely warmth inside😘
I was nice and toasty by the fire, for sure! Holden could tell you about the cold outside, though. 😉 ~C
These are exquisite, as are you.
And you are as kind as you are lovely, Aurora! 🙂 ~C
