It is as perennial as the grass. When the weather warms up and the flowers bloom, I am struck with the most urgent itch to get away. For the past five years, of course, we have used summertime vacation days to visit the grandsons in Texas, and this year will be no different. But at the risk of sounding boastful, we can afford to travel more often than we do, which both prolongs and intensifies the itch. Holden, bless his heart, does his best to plan ahead (as is his nature), and to put together an autumn trip for us every year. Even if it’s just a long weekend. But still, I crave the joy we’ve pictured here: suitcase in hand and positively vibrating at the chance for another adventure. I just hope I haven’t forgotten anything… ~C
And speaking of going places, H was eager to photograph “Amen Corner” at Augusta National, so these directional markers came in handy. We were far from the only patrons with this idea, naturally, so we ended up simply following the crowd.
ROAD TRIP…the US west coast is apparently amazing in the fall…or Quebec/eastern Ontario for the fall colours….
We definitely have the west coast on our radar for a return trip, and Quebec/Ontario sound wonderful, too! 🙂 ~C

Glad you enjoy traveling and being able to visit with your family.
Super photos and love the heels too.
We’re excited for our next trip, for sure! And thanks — I don’t think I’ve worn those heels in photos before. 🙂 ~C
