I’ve grown weary of buying cheap boots locally that fall apart after wearing them a few times, so I made it a point to shop for a trusted brand during our trip to Texas a few weeks back. (Meanwhile, Holden wandered around an area of the store he called “J.R. Ewing’s walk-in closet,” but didn’t make a purchase.) I felt so fancy in these that I decided to break out the sequined panty, just to give the boots a worthy partner.
On the way home from our trip, Holden and I talked extensively about the pros and cons of making a big move and, in the end, we have decided to relocate to the Texas Triangle. We have a metric fuck-ton of things to do before moving, so we set a realistic goal of Memorial Day, 2025. In addition to paring down drastically the sheer amount of STUFF we have, we need to invest in some improvements that will help us get the maximum value from our house. It’s just too big for only two people. And seeing our precious grandsons only once or twice a year is simply unbearable.
So we hope y’all will bear with us if our captions are sometimes brief, going forward. Our weekends are going to be busy! ~C
