Good evening, y’all, and welcome to a brand new series of photos, which were taken on the afternoon of Sunday, August 18th. The start of the session was a bit delayed, because we had a severe thunderstorm roll through our area on Saturday evening and we needed to go out Sunday morning to gather a bunch of tree branches from the yard and check for damage. A small limb decided to seek unauthorized sanctuary on our screened porch without using the door, so I guess we’ll be adding “re-screen back porch” to our list of pre-moving tasks. (It needed to be done, anyway, even before the ugly rip.)
These two photos were shot from a unique perspective, with Holden standing on the deck beneath the aforementioned porch. Prior to the junk removal guys coming out, this angle was not possible because of all the crap that had accumulated there. We were so excited by the opportunity that we wrote these at the very top of the shot list, and then we switched places for a few more impromptu snaps that will be posted later on. And we hope y’all will stick around for the whole series, because we plan to end it with a bang! ~C
Oh goodness … your photos are always so gorgeous and beautifully and stylishly composed, but these are absolutely stunning!!!

Thank you so much, love! I get so tickled seeing his enthusiasm when he has the perfect shot in mind. I just try to do my part! 🙂 ~C
Wow. Sounds like y’all are having fun with the remodel and normal repairs to a house.
Super setting for the photos and enjoying the color contrast with the leaves, your skin, nails, knickers and the wine.
Looking for to the balance of the series.
Thank you! Holden was interested in playing with the diagonal lines of the stairs here, and you definitely can’t beat the background foliage! 🙂 ~C
