Wanna Play?

Hello, friends, and happy weekend! Holden came up with the idea for the perspective on these shots as we were taking down some truly awful treatments on that window on the left of the frame. We installed cordless blinds on all SEVEN of the upstairs windows, during which time he made a mental note of shooting me from the hallway into the bedroom to take advantage of the reflected afternoon sunlight (the window faces east.) Once he told me he wanted the door frame to be visible on the sides of the crop, I decided to play with the idea of seduction for the poses. We shot a ton of these, so look for a couple more later on. Oh, and we’ll post the top photo to Tumblr, but the second shot is just for y’all…

Last week, we mentioned “cosmetic changes” that needed to be made to the updated master bath, which include painting and hanging new vanity mirrors. Well, those are happening this weekend, instead. We hadn’t been down to the lake house since Father’s Day, believe it or not, so we spent last weekend down there to get away from all the dust and noise and stress from the construction. It was absolutely the correct decision. ~C
