Good evening, y’all! At the time this post hits the ‘Net, I suspect that Holden and I will be curled up on the sofa in exhausted heaps. Since this is our final Christmas before moving next year, we invited a couple dozen friends and family members over for a pre-holiday brunch and Dirty Santa gift exchange. Prior to COVID, this was an annual event that we looked forward to, but we haven’t hosted anywhere near this number of guests in more than five years. We did all we could to prepare, and we’re hoping for the best!
For tonight’s photos, Holden came up with the idea after examining some of the leftover supplies from the kitchen installation crew. These thin white panels are trim pieces cut from larger ones, and were pretty easy for me to hold in place on either side of me. And with the afternoon sunlight creeping through the blinds to add yet another set of stripes, we were able to make a bit of artsy-fartsy sexiness. Good thing I thought to wear a necklace.
We hope you all have a wonderful holiday, and we’ll see you next week for our final post of 2024! ~C
Great use of the construction materials and wow what an outfit and yes to the necklace.
Hopefully, your party went off well and what makes a Dirty Santa party?
Thank you! I guess the more common name for the gift exchange is White Elephant? Where you open gifts in order, and can either open a new one or steal a previously opened one? Anyway, it was an idea that resulted in the family getting bigger and bigger, so no one has to buy gifts for EVERYone.

Thank you! The brunch went VERY well — We made TWO brand new dishes for it, and both were devoured by our guests.
