Texas, we are in you! The move itself began with a hiccup, as the moving company overbooked their crews and our pickup was pushed from Monday afternoon to Tuesday morning. We’d also rented a 12-foot van for the things we wanted with us immediately — a bed, clothes, toiletries, delicate personal items, etc — and we’d planned to split the long drive into two parts to give Holden a break from handling the truck. But we have arrived, albeit a day later than we thought, and the new furniture we bought has also been delivered. We’ll both start working remotely on Monday morning, so the home office setup is taking priority this weekend. But we’re here, we’re happy, and we are really loving our new place!
Tonight’s photo is another tripod setup outtake, this time from a beautiful cabin in Helen, GA where we’d booked a long weekend in November of 2015. We were tickled with the photo of the two of us that we crated in this setting, but we did have a bit of a disagreement over this image. Holden found a filter with a blur tool, to help obscure my face a bit, and we passed the laptop back and forth several times to find an acceptable compromise between more blur and less blur.

Congratulations on the move and sorry to hear about the delay with the movers.
I am sure it has was hard to leave your old home and neighbors and start a new adventure .
Good luck with setting up your home offices and the balance of your home.
Thank you! The movers can wait, for now — God knows we still have plenty to do! 🙂 But yeah, we’ve done well with the office, and the first couple of days have been super easy! ~C
The blur gives an effect of a first-person’s view of just coming out of a daze of some sort. Perhaps having gone a little too hard with the wine. But what a gorgeous sight to wake up to. 😉
Welcome to Texas!
Thank you very kindly! Though in retrospect, I should’ve gone with less blur. 😉 ~C
