Last Wednesday afternoon, Holden and I each decided we needed a short break from our remote working, left the office together, and took a long look around the house. “We’ve been here three weeks today,” he reminded me while taking my hand. I was well aware of the dates, but I was still amazed and impressed by how much we’ve been able to do in such a short time. There are pictures on the walls, though some still have unopened boxes stacked on the floor beneath them. And there are knick-knacks and keepsakes atop tables and bookcases, though some still haven’t been unpacked. The garage isn’t completely crammed full of things we brought from Atlanta, but there’s no room to park the car in there, like there was before the movers came. This will change, as we at least have a plan for how to arrange it. It’s coming together, and progress is to be celebrated.
So, tonight’s photo will be the last of the 2015 retrospective that we’ve employed for the last couple of months to buy ourselves some time surrounding the move. It’s from the opening setting of a long session in January of that year, working off of one of Holden’s lengthier shot lists. Hell, I even took the time to curl my hair before we got started. We hope those of you with a three-day weekend are enjoying your time off, and we’ll see you next week for the debut images from our new place! ~C

Glad to learn that you are getting settled in your new house.
Each picture on the wall makes it more of a home.
The photo looks super and from my perspective, it looks 2025.
As always, looking forward to seeing your next one.
Thanks so much for the kind words! Whether we’re fully unpacked or not (the answer is not), we’ve had the grandsons over several times so far and they’re as comfortable in this place as we are. 🙂 So we’re counting that as a celebration, too! ~C
Oh goodness that is yet another stunningly lovely photo.
So beautifully composed, and posed, as always.
And it’s so good to hear you are getting settled. (It took us about 6 months to empty the garage after our move!)
Best wishes … and looking forward to new photos from your new home … though your photos from any year are always so lovely to view!!!

Thank you, love! Our garage has been 100% ignored, so far 😉 But the rest of the place is taking shape, so we’re excited to start some new photo adventures here… Maybe this afternoon! ~C
