Welcome to Texas, y’all! I hope I’m not too overdressed for the occasion. It’s just that I’ve grown accustomed to having only little guests here who are satisfied with fruit snacks and tortilla chips, and with me wearing sweats and a t-shirt. I think our readers expect a little more effort. 😉
As you might’ve guessed, the sexy dress and brand new heels I’ve donned for these shots were purchased ahead of our shoot with Diana, but weren’t worn for photos. This will be a recurring theme over the next few posts…
But this is our kitchen! It’s open and bright and spacious, with black and grey granite counters and white cabinetry. (After spending an inordinate amount of time selecting fixtures for our kitchen renovation in Georgia, it absolutely makes my eyes twitch that there are no handles or knobs on the cabinets and drawers, so it’s a good thing Holden does most of the cooking.) We’ve also included a floor plan image, for those of you who are into that kind of thing, and it might come in handy for this series of new photos. But the glass doors visible on the right of the frame open into the office, which is in the middle of a separate hallway that’s parallel to the huge living/dining space. More to come and thanks for your patience! ~C

No handles?
Right? I mean, I understand that it’s the modern way of doing things, but I hate it. 🙂 ~C
Congratulations on your new house.
The dress, heels and Pedi all look super.
It took me a minute to move past you to focus on the cabinets and lack of handles.
There must be a Home Depot nearby and they should have a selection of handles and pulls.
Looking forward to additional photos.
Thank you! It’s funny — I kept a sample of our “first choice” handles from the kitchen renovation, since we couldn’t get those, so I know EXACTLY what to buy when the time comes. But that’s pretty far down the list of things to do… 😉 ~C
