Dinner Belle

This week’s chapter of Adventures in Furnishing a Home finds us in the dining area of the giant open floor plan. Between the artificial border we created for the living room with a big heavy antique buffet table and the bar/counter of the kitchen, there is a little more than 16 feet of space. Seemed like a lot, so we shopped for a rectangular dining table with leaves, in case we needed to expand its coverage of that area. It was needed. The table is only a little more than seven feet long, but once you add chairs to both ends, it does a nice job of being a focal point that’s not overwhelming.

Holden already has another photo in mind for the table, but do enjoy these two for now. Not surprisingly, the wigs all got mooshed and tangled to hell and back in the move, so I was anxious to get at least a couple of them out and comb them before our first session in the new house. The red one was a good choice for these, and obviously commanded a color edit.

Take care, y’all! ~C

And I’m so glad he thinks ahead! Gives me the chance to just be… in the moment! 😉 ~C
