Before assuming his position on the back porch for these photos, Holden made a quick suggestion to close the two blind slats in front of my face, so that he could shoot the full length of the window. He ended up taking a lot of pictures, so we may have some outtakes to share at a later time. There are a half-dozen different lighting options in and around the kitchen, and he wanted to try each of them in turn, to find the most flattering ones. I really like the washed-out look in the top photo, but the bottom one is more in line with the photographer’s vision. ~C
