For the record, no, I did not greet our trick-or-treaters dressed like this. Though it might have been a treat to a few of the parents, we will need to be here a LOT longer before we identify any of the like-minded! (Obviously we knew that Texas was a conservative state, politically speaking, but it seems to be very conservative socially, too. Holden noticed right away that almost none of his pickleball friends swear when they hit a bad shot, and that he needs to be very selective with whom he shares his signature bawdy sense of humor.)
We ended up leaving a bowl of candy with a “take two” sign on the front porch, since we went to a different neighborhood to accompany the grandsons on their candy quest. Thanks to modern technology and a Ring doorbell, I was able to keep an eye on the bowl, and we were a little disappointed that there weren’t more takers. I mean, we do love some leftover Halloween candy, but not this much! I used to be able to take our remainders into the office for the grad students, who always made short work of it, but now I’ll have to find a different solution. ~C

Love the pictures
Thank you very kindly! 🙂 ~C

Holden would fit right in on a curling sheet.
LOL, thank you! Holden has always said that curling is the only good time to throw rocks at a house… 😉 ~C
Super outfit and I hope you had a great time with the grandchildren and some adult time as well.
Thanks so much! We were SO TIRED after all that walking that our “adult time” involved putting our feet up and having a cocktail or three! 🙂 ~C
