At the time this post goes public, we will still be a couple of hours away from the freezing rain we’re expecting from the weekend’s big winter storm. But we know that many of our readers are already being hammered by far worse than what we will get, and please know that y’all are in our thoughts! Severe feet of snow in a short period of time presents its own hazards, of course, but we’re even more worried for those who are going to experience an abundance of ice. It’ll be dangerous, nasty, and bitterly cold, but we hope folks have taken every precaution possible and will be able to ride it out with cozy blankets and warm beverages.
When it came time to download from the camera the images that included the setting (sitting?) shown here, I could’ve sworn I’d snapped about a dozen with the remote I tried hard to conceal. Turns out there were four. FOUR! It seems that, once again, I’d completely lost concentration on the mission and neglected to click the shutter as often as I should have. It’s Holden’s fault, of course. Anyway, all four shots were good ones, thankfully, and so we decided to show one with a tight crop and one a bit wider, just for perspective. And we’re grateful that these shots are posting tonight, so we can perhaps contribute a bit of heat for your frosty weekend. Take care, everyone! ~C
