Last week, over on Tumblr, we reblogged an old post from back in 2015 where we published one photo in color and a slightly different pose in black and white. The post got a fair amount of attention, and even a few comments, and it reminded us how much fun those contrasting images were to explore. And it also reminded us that we haven’t created many posts like it in a long time. So we have decided to take the seven (?) sets we captured during our latest session last weekend, and present them to y’all this way.
Holden originally wanted to use one of our new dining table chairs for this idea, a re-creation of a photo we found where the model shot herself in a mirror with her phone. The dining table chairs, however, are several inches taller than standard chairs and, since the pose was going to be difficult enough for me, I convinced him to use one of our old breakfast nook chairs, instead. It was still difficult to do, and quite uncomfortable, but I did my best and hopefully I at least feign relaxation well enough! ~C
