In our part of the world, first responders and transportation crews do not hesitate to shut down all of the lanes of a busy highway — even during peak hours — in order to clear an accident. Thus, even though we left work early on the Friday before Halloween in order to get a jump start on our adventure, we were detained for approximately ninety minutes for one such incident. After the frustration of having a one-hour trip time turn into more than three hours, the home-made white chocolate macadamia nut cookies that were waiting for us at the loft were a welcome treat, indeed!

I hope Holden was able to get his cookies as well. 😉
Not too long after these photos were taken, as a matter of fact! 😉
Just too much to eat! 😉 Sorry about your horrid journey x
Oh, we forgot all about the travel troubles, once we had located some dinner and a cocktail. We’re resilient! 😉
Oh my gosh, you poor things. Boo! I can sympathize. I swear every where we go now, there is construction. BUT, I’m so glad yall had cookies waiting. I’m sure that brightened the day!
(I’m actually surprised. I was looking forward to a lot of clever cookie references in the comments.) ;0)
The Instagram version got a lot of cookie references in the comments, but they were far more crude than clever. 🙂
Oh my! I’ll have to pop over there and look!
