Follow Me

1201-both

Choosing how (or whether) to punctuate the post title was difficult — “Follow Me?” and “Follow Me!” both offer compelling interpretations. So we chose to leave the words to stand alone, trusting y’all to read it as you’d like.

Another difficult choice was the photo filter. This cabin, like the one in Virginia that we visited a couple of years ago, has floors, walls and ceilings of light pine. That much exposed wood, illuminated by incandescent bulbs, gives every photo a heavy orange tint, regardless of the camera settings we chose. We have been happy, so far, with our edits of the interior shots (hoping not to sear your eyeballs), but this one was the most challenging so far. ~C

  1. The lighting with the exposed wood- my imagination thinks it is illuminated by a cozy roaring fire and candlelight.

    1. A bit too warm for a fire, on this particular weekend, but candlelight is always a welcome accent! 🙂

  2. I was tempted to log on as Anon and just say “Nice Ass!”, but I’m a responsible blogger and you know I would follow you anywhere 😉 Have you tried coloured gels on your lights? Not that, in this case, the colour is a problem 😉 x

    1. LOL! I know you’re responsible! 🙂 We are looking into buying a softbox, after working with one in the photo studio, but we are at the mercy of the lighting provided when we’re on location at places like the cabin. ~C

    1. Thank you! I’m slowly learning the on-the-steps poses, with a hip cocked out to one side to stretch my legs out. 🙂
