So, menopause has been a mixed bag, so far. I am enjoying the absence of monthly cycles, of course, and the unpredictability and discomfort that came with them. But the hot flashes, insomnia, and water retention can all take a hike. I still have the metabolism of a small woodland creature, as Holden has characterized it, but it’s now more loris than chipmunk, and I’ve gained a few pounds. Not so much that people in my normal daily life have taken notice, but they don’t see me in quite the same way that our internet audience does. The swelling of the breasts has been a pleasant side effect, however, and I have blossomed at least one full cup size. Maybe two. So I’ve been doing some shopping for new skivvies that fit me better, like the ones pictured here, and I’m really embracing the look of a loose-fitting V-neck, as well! ~C

If it’s any consolation, my wife was more sexually active once past the same thing you’re going thru. The concern about an unplanned pregnancy behind her, made our sex live more spontaneous, and adventurous, Hope your’s is the same. And don’t worry, you’ll still be just a beautiful.
Thank you very kindly! I went through the stage of lacking interest in sex, but I have since rebounded. And yes, the new spontaneity is very welcome, especially since we have the house to ourselves now! 🙂 ~C
Alluring photo! I’m sure many us (your internet audience) would agree that we’re a privileged bunch…and are thankful for it 😉 . Clever title, btw.
I’m so glad you noticed Holden’s pun in the post title! He comes up with almost all of those, and he was particularly proud of this one. 😉 Thank you for the kind words! ~C
very nice photo
Much appreciated! ~C
Beautiful photo… I’m peri menopausal following a hysterectomy… although I still have my ovaries I’m heading that way and am getting the symptoms you describe. As you say.. manageable ❤️
I wish you all the best! Some days are worse than others, but I’ve always been a fighter. Holden is pushing me to be more active, and to work out more regularly, and that has helped a lot. 🙂 ~C
Can you please send me a private email there’s a contact me on my blog- I just want to check something with you health related and I don’t want to post publicly ❤️
I will try to do so later today, yes. You can always reach us at holdenandcamille@gmail.com too.
I’ve emailed you
🙂
Just for the record, your internet audience still thinks you’re incredibly beautiful and sexy.
I appreciate the confirmation, Hunter! I have another couple of matching ensembles to post later on. 🙂 ~C
You look as beautiful as always Camille and those few extra pounds suit you 🙂 My wife had an extraordinarily late menopause, and it inspired this poem https://fridayam.wordpress.com/2012/11/07/pause-o-men/ xx
That’s very kind of you to say! 🙂 We don’t remember seeing that poem, but we appreciate the link. It all sounds very, very familiar to me! ~C
Great title and photo.
Thanks for sharing with us.
I hope all of the changes quickly run their course.
Thank you, Marc! And I hope they do, too. Not all of these changes are supposed to be permanent… ~C
Ah yes, the joys of hot flashes and other fun issues associated with menopause. I freeze Hunter almost every day trying to cool off when the hot flashes kick in. But you’re rocking those changes, lovely Camille. You look even more beautiful every time we see your pictures.
Oh, Kerri, how sweet of you! I’m doing my best to adjust to the general puffiness, but I’m fighting it, too. And poor Hunter! 😉 ~C
May menopause be so kind to us all…
It’s so lovely to hear from you, Ronna! And thank you very much! ~C
I’m still around:)
