Apologies to Joni Mitchell for stealing her title, but I thought of it yesterday morning while cruising at 32,000 feet on my way to Texas, with the knowledge that we would post this pair of photos tonight. (Too bad the rose isn’t yellow.) We couldn’t resist taking a few more photos with the hotel room’s artwork, even though this one above the headboard was a bit more challenging to pose with, due to a duct work overhang in the sloped ceiling. We realize that the bottom photo isn’t as focused as we’d like, but Holden noticed the side boob and necklace reflection in the frame’s glass and loved that little detail. Enjoy your weekend, everyone! I’ll be back home on Monday, but will try to answer your comments while I’m here. ~C

Oh Holden, these are spectac!
I’m glad you liked them! We were a little concerned about the lighting, but they came out pretty much how we imagined. 🙂 ~C
I love them both. These are fantastic and well done for managing with the tricky angle – the result makes your efforts worth it 😊
Thank you, Missy! When there are picture frames involved, it becomes really obvious if you aren’t holding the camera level. The straightening tool is our friend! 😉 ~C
I must try it sometime. You are a great source of inspiration 😊
You are too kind! ~C
We often talk of English Roses but here is not one but two American ones to celebrate and love 🙂 xx
Thank you, Steve! I am glad that I wasn’t photographed quite as closely as that flower… 😉 ~C
Ya know, I could try to discuss how the rose is often used as a metaphor (I’m not an English major, so forgive me if that’s not the right term) for lady parts and sexuality, but I think instead I’ll sum up my thoughts on this picture like this: Damn, Camille! You’re hot 😉
I wasn’t an English major, either, but I do remember that “brevity is the soul of wit”! You cut to the chase perfectly, Kerri, and I appreciate your thoughts! 🙂 ~C
I’m no Edna Hemingway either, but I agree with Keri. Camille’s a very beautiful, sexy lady!
And for some reason, I can’t spell my wife’s name either 😂
Ah, what I wouldn’t give to have an Edna Hemingway novel in my hands right now! 😉 You and your adorable wife are too sweet to me, no matter how you spell it! ~C
