Last weekend, we made our third consecutive August drive to Lexington, KY to help Holden’s son get settled for another year at the university. And, as we have done the previous two years, we took our camera, along with the inspiration to challenge ourselves to create some memorable images on the fly in a new place. Unlike the other two trips, however, we opted to search Airbnb for a place to stay this time, rather than settling for an overpriced hotel room. The location we chose is a recently renovated basement apartment in a small five-unit building within walking distance to campus. We hope you will enjoy these, because we are proud of how many ways we were able to use the space in just a couple of hours! ~C

Lovely Egyptian, like Cleopatra!
That’s very high praise, thank you! ~C
Love the shadow effect on this one!
Me too! I’m glad you noticed that — We fiddled with the lighting for a while before the first shot was recorded. 🙂 ~C
There’s a bad photo of this woman; she’s gorgeous!
That’s a head-scratcher… ~C
Nopantsendurance’s comment made me think of Frank Zappa’s song “Re-gyptian Strut” 😉 I love the improvised feel of it. Gorgeous shot 🙂 x
We hope Zappa would be proud! 😉 And improvised is right — There was a lot of “We have to use THIS in a shot” and “We have to shoot HERE.” Scrambling is fun, sometimes! ~C
Oh, if only that towel would fall 😉
🙂 I thought of that, but I didn’t want to copy this other one from Lexington too much…http://holden-and-camille.com/2016/08/19/lexington/ ~C
Wasn’t talking about taking a picture 😉
LOL! 🙂
Neil Diamond couldn’t have painted a better picture.
