Hello, friends! As I mentioned last week, the decade-long aversion to shooting photos in our house’s ugly zones has left us with very few examples to represent the “before” part of “before and after” comparisons. But since our place was seemingly constructed while the builder was stuck on default mode — gloomy-brown cabinets throughout, with generic counters and dull rectangular mirrors held up by rusty screws and plastic brackets at the corners — you can get a pretty accurate mental image of what the master bathroom looked like from these two posts from the guest bathroom.
We’ll share a few more photos later to give you a better idea of the space here, but suffice it to say that a couple of modern light fixtures mounted above sleek round mirrors made a huge difference. And replacing the old lady wallpaper with a fresh paint job worked wonders, too. We have some framed artwork that would really tie everything together, but we decided not to sling nails into our now pristine walls. In the interest of the upcoming sale, we’ll have to be content with command hooks and artificial flowers to fill up the empty spaces. ~C

Thank you, love! These mirrors were a BITCH to hang, so we were by God going to shoot some pictures with them after all that trouble! 😉 ~C
Super photos and the description of your home.
I could see you wearing a hard hat with a tool belt.
Sorry about the hanging of the mirrors.
Thanks very much! I would ABSOLUTELY wear a hard hat and tool belt. 😉 Though this time we were fortunate to find some younger folks to do the heavy lifting. ~C
