Hi, folks! As I mentioned previously, the kitchen remodelers (bless their hearts) agreed with me that the old soffits had to go, though their removal brought a few new challenges because of the wiring, plumbing, and duct work that they’d hidden. Anyway, as seen here, our new cabinets go all the way to the ceiling! Which presents problems for me, in spite of how lovely they are, as now I have to get out a stepladder to reach the top couple of shelves. It’s a small price to pay.
A couple of details I wanted to point out in these shots: We love the new deep sink and faucet, and it turns out that we made a good choice with the glossy faux-brick backsplash tile. And we chose these crops specifically to include that new pendant light over the sink. It’s a different brand, ordered from a different place, than the two new fixtures we installed on the ceiling (not pictured), but they are nearly a perfect match. And finally, please ignore the unpainted wood panels above the sink — they have since been done. 🙂 ~C
lovely reach nice backside
Thanks! An advantage of reaching up high is the assist it gives to the way my bottom looks. 😉 ~C
Gorgeous … we’re hoping for lots more need for you to climb that step-ladder … with Holden close at hand with his camera!!!

Thank you! I’ll just keep my focus on not giving Holden and chance to shoot me falling ass-over-teakettle from the ladder! 🙂 ~C

Thanks so much! We’re just so tickled with the results! 🙂 ~C
