May the Quartz Be With You

Happy New Year, everyone! We hope you all had a happy and safe celebration, though we continue to be thrown off by having a single off-day dead in the middle of the week. It just feels weird, and we never seem to be able to capitalize on it as well as we’d like. And as usual, the amateur fireworks enthusiasts in our area over-bought for the occasion and ended up assaulting our ears with explosions (and postponing our sleep) long after they should have ended. And yes, I’m aware that I’m kicking off 2025 with Old People Complaints…

We’ve had a couple of countertop aficionados request different angles of the new kitchen decor, so we’re happy that we took the time to shoot this week’s pair of photos. As we’d mentioned before, our first-choice quartz was not going to be available during the installation window, and God knows we didn’t want to delay the project any further, so we had to make a backup selection. The veins of taupe in the first-choice pattern were a bit thicker and more prominent than this (mmm, thick veins!), but we’re still happy with what we got. Bonus points to Holden for also capturing the reflection of the new light fixture and its pretty Edison bulbs.

One final set from the new bathroom, for next week, and then I suppose we should try to shoot a few new ones to feature the saucy Christmas gifts that I received. 🙂 ~C

    Wow.
You look great and looking forward to seeing your Christmas gifts.

Spent New Years Eve with friends and one of the neighbors stated they spent over 1200.00 on fireworks.

It was quite a show and I had my eyes open for a small wild fire to develop. Garden hose was ready.
