Brrrrr, y’all! It got COLD down here at the end of the week! And for the first time since a light dusting three years ago, we actually got some snow yesterday! Just a few inches, but it was very pretty to look at from the comfort and safety of the indoors (we both worked remotely on Friday.) I should say mostly from indoors, as Holden talked me into stepping out onto the back deck for a quick photo shoot, with the convincing argument that we shouldn’t let an opportunity go to waste. He also built us a cozy fire in the fireplace last night and this evening (after shooting more today), so do be on the lookout for some brand new shots, along with the aforementioned exciting announcement…
Meanwhile, we’re closing out the renovations series with a couple more from the master bath. If we were planning to stay in the house for several more years, we’d have had them expand the plumbing to install a second sink in the vanity, beneath the other mirror. But the job was expensive enough already, and we’ve dealt with the single sink for 16 years, so what’s a few more months? The countertop and cabinetry are both top-notch, and it’s difficult to overstate what a difference they make, compared to the outdated look from before. We’ve added a double sink to the must-have list for the new place in Texas. ~C
I’ll trade your winter for my winter. You look cold in the photos ….

If you think I look cold here, just wait until next week’s photos!

No snow but it’s even cold (for us) down here in Florida!
So we’ve heard from other friends who live down there! Hope y’all are surviving!

Beautiful in black … as you always are in every colour !!!
I hate the cold, and the cozy fire sounds nice.
But looking forward to your back-deck photos!!!

Thank you, dear! I think we’ll lead off with the snow photos, while the memory is fresh (though the snow will all be melted away by this evening…)

Super great photo.
Glad y’all are enjoying the update to the house and working on a must have and need to have list.
Looking forward to seeing the photos from the back deck.
Enjoy the snow and stay warm.
Thanks very much! We ventured out today, since nearly all the snow was melted. It was still pretty, though!
