A unique edit for an unchosen image, from a shoot in late January 2015. It’s remarkably similar to the photo we selected to post last year in black and white, and I am still quite fond of Holden’s suggestion for my pose. He thought it would suggest a story, allowing the viewer to interpret an uneasy mood and extrapolate from there. Little did we know at the time that it would inspire one of our favorite works by fridayam.
P.S. Half a million views on this site, and counting! Wow! And in just a shade under three years of posting. Thank you, one and all, longtime readers and new arrivals alike! ~C
Congrats! You’re welcome! Always a sucker for the silhouette provided by the backlight.
Thanks, Dave! We wanted to take another crack at this setting, with color this time. 🙂
Lovely photo! Interesting tension…
Thank you, Lana! He had a great pose idea. 😉
I always find the look of a woman on raised toes to be exciting. The silhouette creation here is very inviting.
Oh, I agree! It was an inspired idea and I’m so happy we could capture it. ~C
Oh you darlings! Thank you! 80 people went to read the poem, though sadly no comments 😉 And the image is as vibrant, taut and beautiful in colour as it was in black and white. Holden is right–your photos often inspire stories, and poems, and I hope to have another for you soon 🙂 x
So glad we could send some traffic your way! We think we have one more photo upcoming that you also employed with a poem, and we will do the same, if so. Your work deserves to be read! 🙂
Thank you 🙂 Though bare words will never beat bare flesh 😉 x
Good thing there are outlets for both! 🙂
Thanks for the direct to fridayam. Love the poetry set to your “music!”
It’s not quite Elton John and Bernie Taupin, but we do our best! 😉
