The Lake Show 2013

We’ve mentioned the family lake house in captions a number of times so far this summer, mostly as an excuse for why a weekly post was missing or delayed. It’s as humble a place as ever, but it has also hosted some great gatherings this year — sometimes the sort of big family events that we used to enjoy routinely before Covid, and sometimes quiet evenings with just us and H’s father and stepmother. So before moving onto the next chronological archive from the end of 2018, we thought we’d go back through some of the especially special collections, when the two of us would take a couple of days off during a summer work-week to spend a bit of time on the cove by ourselves. This one is from July of 2013, just a few months after we launched this site. Please forgive the quality, as we were still shooting with an inferior camera at the time, but we did our best with the edit to clean it up. Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend! ~C
