The previously published versions of these photos touched off the Great Tumblr Debate of 2013, when we disagreed over which was the better one and solicited the opinions of followers. They are presented here with much more flattering crops and edits, and so we now concur that both are far superior to their respective predecessors.
Hi guys. How dI’d I miss the great debate?!? Anyway, they are both great, but I like the story the color one tells. Hands on hips, looking away is sassy, with a sort of a “you think you are all that” vibe. The relaxed, cross feet say “we both know you are powerless to resist my charms.” Terrific shot. (Oh somewhere in there it says ‘what a smokin’ body,’ C.)
Thank you! Holden preferred the version that’s in color here, but the consensus from the debate was that the other one was better because it implied motion. But both originals were poorly cropped and entirely too dark, so these two show far more detail. 🙂
I am (in my professional life) all in favour of motion, but in this case I agree with Dave that the colour image is so much more powerful for its statement, its stillness and power–and for it’s sheer erotic wow factor. A delight 🙂 x
The colo(u)r image is the most different from its predecessor, both in sharpness of detail and generosity of crop, and so it is definitely our favorite, as well!
Personally, I always preferred the color editions.
Thank you! We have REALLY enjoyed the process of going through the archives and finding photos from old shoots that we only posted in black and white. The mood of many of these completely changed when we brought out the color. 😉
