As my old master, Tim Pope, sand “I want to be a tree” ๐ (You can probably find that song on YouTube, lol) . Gorgeous image and very frameable ๐ x

Thanks very much! Mr. Pope is aces in our book — Anyone who worked as much with The Cure and Talk Talk as he did has our appreciation! ๐
Gosh, you know about Tim? I’m impressed ๐ Bizarrely, my first proper girlfriend back on Merseyside became his girlfriend many years later. I bumped into to her in the middle of Hyde Park (how likely is that?) and she said “My boyfriend needs an AD” ๐ I worked with him, on and off, for several years, but never on The Cure or TalkTalk, oddly–though I was supposed to do “The Cure in Orange Live” but had to pull out ๐ And the idea for Talk Talk’s “DumDum Girls” video came from me ๐ x

Well, we had to look him up, to be honest. But as soon as we saw his body of work, we were filled with memories of the remarkable images he created to accompany some of our favorite old songs! “Just Like Heaven” was a masterpiece, and Holden is probably one of about a dozen Americans to own a Ned’s Atomic Dustbin CD! ๐
Hey my links aren’t working! I didn’t do Ornette, much as i might have liked to. Don’t know what’s wrong. ๐

We will have to take a closer look after work this evening. The links work correctly on our admin dashboard, and in the email that notified us of the comment, but something is screwy with the display on the site. ๐
If you have the correct links then do delete my post from your blog–I don’t want to clog up your lovely space with my rubbish ๐ x

The links work now — The extraneous characters at the end were coding for your personal playlist on YouTube, which mucked up the thumbnail images, somehow. All three songs and videos are certainly worthy of a look, so we’ll keep them as they are, for posterity. ๐

I suddenly have the urge to play hide and seek.

Sounds fun! We’d even check you for ticks, afterward. ๐

This should be displayed on your wall, like a nude from one of the “masters”!
Yes, I love this idea! One of these days, when we are empty-nesters at last, we will definitely have some prints made for framing! ๐
