Hotel Sex

0423

There is something so liberating and exciting about sex in a place other than your own bedroom, right? Many sex researchers agree that the novelty of an unfamiliar place causes an additional rush of dopamine, igniting a boost of excitement that we just can’t get while snuggling amongst family photos or stacks of needy laundry.

For us, the opportunity to shoot photos in a new setting provides a double bonus. Come August 2016, we will have been publishing our homemade erotica for five years, and the vast majority of those photos have been taken in our house. It’s always a thrill to have time and privacy in a different place!

Thank you! We ALWAYS shoot when we have occasion to stay in a hotel (or a cabin, or the lake house), and we had so many that they deserved their own tags. 🙂

The colors and composition in this photo are stunning. Maybe it’s the colors or the print on the walls, but there’s something very feline about you in this photo, Camille! That perfectly-placed hand makes the picture feel more caught in the moment, too. And yes, hotel sex is amazing!

Thanks so much, Jo! The headboard was huge, and the wallpaper and lampshades gave every photo on that side of the room a sepia tint, even without any photo filters. And Holden always does such a great job with his hand placement — with the camera remote in his other hand. 😉 ~C

I totally agree, not only does a hotel make for great sex, but also it’s a great place for images. You can just take so many photos at home before the photos seem to all be the same because the background is the same. We love to go to different hotels from time to time and take MANY images while we’re in a room, to have a collection to choose from 🙂

    This image is wonderfully sexy!

Yes, exactly! We have taken to hanging sheets or blankets over furniture, just to hide the same old backgrounds that y’all have seen over and over. 😉 We always shoot a ton of photos, too. Five or six of the same scenario, just so we can be perfectionists about the best of the bunch. ~C

Thank you! We considered checking into one just yesterday, in order to shoot, but we conducted a session at home, instead. ~C

I am totally with you on hotel rooms, I LOVE them, they are suggestive and filled with potential and yes, no laundry, no tidying up reminding you that you have not done something

Absolutely! It’s so much easier to move a suitcase from out of frame than completely clean a cluttered room. We are sticklers about background noise in our pictures. 🙂

This is another image that when viewed my jaw just drops open, my body warms from head to toe and dampness pools. Beautiful, sensual….

Lastly but not least, those rippling back muscles that drive me crazy…

We can relate to the sentiment here. We often feel like we’ve exhausted every possibility for photography in our own home, which is why when we find ourselves staying in a hotel we kind of go crazy. It’s not unusual for us to come away from such a stay with a thousand images (though perhaps a couple dozen are truly blog-worthy.

    Beautiful shot! (As always.)

Thank you! We do the same, in terms of the volume of photos. If we shoot 100 on a given day, we’ll post maybe 15 of them. That’s why we’re always going back through the libraries, checking to see what we might have missed. The passage of time often changes our opinion of what photo from a given setting was the best one. 🙂
