1985

1006

A bit of a retro edit for this one, since it made me nostalgic for my youth. It reminded me of being sixteen and making plans to go sunbathing with my friends. All I’d need is a book, a cheap radio, a beach towel, and as many beers as I could sneak from my father’s fridge. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go slinky-dance for Holden while singing “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”… ~C

Oh, I’m sure he would rather have been off to the side with suntan lotion, instead of perched on a rickety ladder on the dock, trying to keep me in frame while guarding against falling into the water! ~C

Love this! Not sure what it is about this pic…the nostalgia for that time period, the pose, the angle of the shot which accentuates your gorgeous frame, or the small details (book, radio, beer, towel) that makes this image so well done. Maybe it’s “all of the above” 😉 Great pic!

Oh, thank you so much! We thought maybe we’d gone a bit overboard with the props, but we just kept seeing little things that would help create the mood. 🙂 ~C

Oh this is just gorgeous! Holden, you should tweak the stripes on the towel to make them even more candy-coloured for that Eastman-Kodak vibrancy 😉 And Camille, you look stunning 🙂 x

🙂 We tried for vibrancy, but only the towel stripes looked good that way. A faded effect was more complimentary all around — Like an old image you might find in a shoebox in the attic. ~C
