Another interesting example of why we often publish alternates from previous shoots — The crop and the edit of this photo is completely different from the “first choice” that we posted on this exact date in 2016, and we think the effect of the image is different, too. (Though we did get a kick out of writing last year’s caption.) We have been making a point to shoot more closely and crop a little tighter, whenever possible, and this version is a good reminder for us. ~C
