Hunter or Hunted?

Another of the photos we shot on February 25th with the intention of applying a unusual edit. We knew the dark wood of the floor, stair rail and trim would combine well with the dark paint color and low light to leave many of the setting details murky. But it was even more important for us to leave the pose open to interpretation, as well. (It is still fun for us to experiment, even after all these years of posting).

Hope y’all had a great weekend! We’ll have something more straightforward and fun, for next time… ~C

Thanks very much! He didn’t tell me much about what he was planning for this one, so I just had to perch and offer a good angle. πŸ˜‰ ~C

This picture is absolutely wonderful! Such fabulous composition, and the soft focus makes it look like a painting in a museum…not to mention the lovely subject!

Oh, and my hubby says, “Hunter.” .πŸ˜€

Tee hee! I was hoping he’d see that post title! πŸ˜‰ You’re too kind about the photo — We just happened to find the right edit. ~C

I love this! As other comments have accurately noted, this looks like a classic painting. The pose (where you’re left wondering what the model is doing or thinking), the overall aesthetics, the way that the sunlight hit your body and barely anything else. Great image!

And might I add…your butt looks exceptional!

Thank you very much! We kinda wish now we had lied and said “We were going for the look of a classical painting” πŸ˜‰ And I am so glad that he takes so much care with helping me pose my bottom! ~C
