Closing out this year’s Lexington series with the final shot that was taken: a sneaky candid that Holden took while I was pouring our last cocktails of the evening. I would have made so much more money in tips, had I been allowed to wear so little while I was tending bar, back in the day!

I am such a fan of your pictures. They are always so natural and make me think – I could do that. I think that looking effortless is a big part of their appeal when actually there is a lot of skill in them. I look forward to your new series 😊

And you’re right — Most of the time, we put a lot of thought and planning into making a shot appear to be spontaneous and unstaged. 😉 Holden is so good with the little details, like one little added prop or a tiny tweak in the pose. I think that is the art. They look like easy snaps but having tried to take some shots I realise that they are not. So much to think about 😊
