As though they had a calendar, the leaves in our yard began their annual fall precisely on September first. We found this particularly odd, since Mother Nature has yet to turn down the summer heat in our part of the world — We are expecting record highs of about 90 degrees over the next three days. So it isn’t surprising that I found it too hot to secure my cardigan properly, even as the sun was setting, and that I needed to keep my new favorite Chinese fan at the ready. Hoping next week will be more seasonal, after a bit of weekend rain. ~C
