Moth to a Flame

Years and years of shooting erotica in random hotel rooms has given us an appreciation for their furniture, appointments and, specifically, their lighting. In this room, two years ago, we shot the bulk of our photos during the daylight hours, and then went out to dinner. On the drive back, we noticed the odd balcony lights, as the sun had set while we were out. They only illuminated a limited conical area, both above and below the fixture, so from a distance the back of the hotel looked like a three-story storage area for rows of glowing hourglasses. Holden and I decided that we needed to take at least a few more pictures. The original pair of photos from the balcony is here. ~C

I initially thought this was a repost when I saw the lighting. Thanks for linking to the originals…although I didn’t think they were in color. The B&W was a good choice in this set. Adds a seductive quality. I do have to add that you look very good in these, Camille.

Thank you very much, Jackson! We shot several unique poses on the balcony, and I think we originally intended to post all four as two different sets, in 2016, but then figured, “No, we’ll circle back to them another time.” Sometimes “another time” doesn’t show up until two years later! 🙂 ~C

I’m so sorry I missed these lovely photos! Down-lighters are the bastard children of bored interior designers, but you have put them to wonderful use in these gorgeous images 🙂 x

We hoped that you’d double back to find this post, given our mutual affection for good lighting (which this is not.) 🙂 ~C
