I’ve Been Set Up!

Hello, everyone! Some news from our world, over the past seven days: I was able to get clearance to visit my office for a few hours, for the first time since March 6th. I really just wanted to vacuum, clean out my mini-fridge, and take out the trash. But it was nice to have a little normalcy, for a change. I still have no idea when I’ll be going back on a regular basis.

More importantly, though, Holden finished the first draft of his book, y’all! I’m so excited for him, and he is beyond thrilled. He’s self-editing like crazy, in hopes of getting everything completed for a September debut. Wish him luck! (For the record, he’s publishing under his real name, so you can understand why we are reluctant to post too many details here.)

As you have probably gathered from the oh-so-clever title, these two images were taken as set-up shots while we were adjusting the tripod for pictures of both of us. I giggled as he was cropping the black-and-white one. I don’t mean to do it, but I get a really impatient look on my face while waiting for him. Take care, folks! ~C

Love both pics! Especially, the pose in the second one.

And congrats, Holden! Not sure if it was ever mentioned, but what’s the genre?

Feel free to disregard the genre question if it’s giving away a little too much. I realized just after hitting submit that it might be :-).

Oh, no, you’re good! It a young love story, set at a college. But the hook is that it takes place thirty years ago. 😉 ~C

Thank you very kindly! He is quite excited about how the editing is going, so far. I get the impression that he thought the process would be more difficult, but since he realized a lot of his mistakes while he was writing, he already fixed a number of problems. 🙂 ~C
