Our late May 2015 photography adventure at the lake house was scheduled around another birthday, this time Holden’s. The spring weather to that point had been cool in our area, so the water even in the little shallow cove was still chilly. Not surprisingly, I made only one brief venture into the lake for a few shots, and I was pleased that H didn’t grumble too much when I wanted to get back out. We shot a number of pictures on the porch and inside the house on this trip, but I think my favorites were the ones where I wandered among the trees and out on the dirt road the house sits on. This outtake is a much tighter crop than the first choice selection, which we posted in color.
