Back to the House

As I took one last look through the beach pictures, I diverged into two trains of thought: One was reminiscing about coastal trips past (and their accompanying photo sessions), and the second was how terribly long it’s been since we posted some shots of Holden by himself. Et voila, I located these in the summer of 2014 archive and we re-edited them for publication. Naked in a lighthouse, y’all.

I was sad to learn that the Cockspur Island light is currently closed to the public for refurbishing, since it was one of our favorite places to visit whenever we’d be down in Savannah for more than a couple of days. It’s the smallest lighthouse in Georgia and part of the Fort Pulaski national monument. And since it’s built on a shallow oyster bed, we had to plan carefully, as it was only accessible via kayak at low tide. Always an adventure.

If all goes as planned, I’ll have arrived back home in Texas shortly before this post goes public. Please forgive me if I’m late with replies, ’cause y’all know I’ve got a week’s worth of snuggling to catch up on! ~C
