Save Stars

Holden teases me about The Martian being my “remote drop” movie, the one that will immediately stop my channel-surfing and have me watch until the end, regardless of what point the film is when I discover it. Well, Andy Weir has done it again with Project Hail Mary. Like The Martian, I saw the movie before reading the book, which is not typically recommended, but the reverse order didn’t sap my appreciation for either version, in both cases. And the Rocky quotes have been flowing freely, from “Fist my bump!” to “Dirty. Dirty. Dirty.”

We returned home yesterday afternoon from our week-long vacation to the Texas coast. As you can imagine, there was a lot more traffic heading toward the islands on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend than on our north-bound side of the highway. The trip was amazing and a vacation was long overdue for us, and we’d planned just enough activities to keep us busy while still allowing for plenty of downtime. And yes, part of the planning involved some improvised naughty photography in our condo rental. 😉 ~C

Thank you! Both my comprehension and retention are increased by reading naked. It’s science. 😉 ~C
