Very few people who are acquainted with us personally, in real life, know we shoot photos and post them to a blog. Fewer still know precisely when we’re shooting. So there typically isn’t much need for me to keep my phone handy during a session. Sometimes, though… just sometimes… it’s nice to receive a bit of extra motivation from someone special. Someone who’ll text me just to ask how it’s going. Someone who is wildly tickled to receive a reply like I’m wearing the blonde wig, a black turtleneck, and nothing else…
These are two of the first photos we shot at the Airbnb, a little after sunset, and Holden was busy experimenting with all of the different lamps and overhead lights in the place and how we might use them. And I’m glad he did, though I knew we’d run into a situation like this — unable to decide on the best photo between two different lighting configurations within the same setting and wardrobe option. But as we’ve said many times before, why choose just one? ~C
